Tips For Cleaning Your Bedroom

The room or bedroom is one of the key spaces in the house when it comes to achieving well-being. We spend a third of our lives there and, in addition, it is also where we usually rest and recharge our energies.
Therefore, keeping it clean and tidy is essential to be our best version. In this post we share the keys to do it easily and simply… Cleaning doesn’t have to be difficult!

Ventilate The Room Daily

Ventilation is crucial when it comes to achieving a comfortable bedroom. There’s nothing worse than a room that “smells closed, ” right? It is uncomfortable and also unhealthy. If we keep the windows open for at least 15 minutes a day, we will achieve a more oxygenated space, with balanced humidity, without bad odors, and where dust and mites will not be able to reproduce as quickly.

Wash Bed Linen Frequently

Our bed is also essential. It is the place where we rest, where our body takes the opportunity to repair itself and fill itself with energy for the next day. We spend an average of 8 hours a day in bed, so it makes sense to keep it as clean as possible, achieving a healthier and more comfortable space. Therefore, we recommend washing sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers once a week.
If you have a duvet cover, it is also recommended that you wash it at least twice a year. And, although it may seem to you that the pajamas and the duvet cover can serve as a barrier against dust, bacteria, mites and all those microorganisms that threaten your health and your rest, this is not the case, they reach the duvet. Don’t stop washing it! And, have you tried turning your mattress from time to time? Well, by doing it a couple of times a year you will be able to sleep more comfortably, while extending the life of your mattress.

Wash The Curtains

We usually forget about curtains or blinds, and we shouldn’t. They accumulate a lot of dust and can definitely make our sleeping environment much less healthy. We recommend that you wash them at least once a month (with cold water). The same applies to blinds, which you should go over with a cloth with disinfectant.
As an extra tip, try to make your curtains made of silky fabrics. This way you will be able to insulate the heat better, fighting against the cold of the street in winter and against the heat in summer.

Clean The Furniture And Order The Closet

Furniture accumulates a large amount of dirt and dust, which we also breathe when sleeping. Dust once a week, using a cloth with disinfectant from time to time.
Also, remember that keeping a minimalist room will not only make cleaning work easier, but will also relax your mind. Try to keep the necessary objects and do not overload the spaces. And, of course, don’t make the mistake of letting clothes pile up on a chair or your bed. Get in the habit of hanging it, folding it, or throwing it in the laundry basket immediately after taking it off. This habit will not only avoid clutter, but it will end up saving you a lot of time when you decide to clean the room.
